Calendar Art and our trip to Ōtākau Marae

And finally, a photo of some of our learning about the Marae.  We all had a go at weaving putiputi (flowers) at the Marae but it was really, really hard.  So we did this simple weaving so we could all learn about alternating under and over.


Thanks to Vicky (Paige's mum), Sheryl (Briah's mum) and Coreen (Mrs B's mum) who came to the marae.

  1. wow room 2, you guys have been very busy again. what beautiful artwork you all have done. is is strange after looking at them all i really want a hot chocolate. i loved seeing the photos of the marae looks like an amazing place to visit you were very lucky to see it. keep up the good work room 2 and enjoy your holidays, also a special goodbye to libby we will all miss you to and ill look forward to hearing about some of your new adventures at your new school.
