What did we do with toothpaste in Room 2?
| | | |
|
We squeezed some blobs of toothpaste out onto paper and pretended the blobs were words.
Some of the words were
"You're fantastic" "You can do it"
"Would you like to play with me?"
Then we squeezed out some more blobs and said some words that we don't like hearing like "You're dumb" and "I don't like you"
When we tried to put the toothpaste back in the tube we couldn't get it back in. Just like we can't take words back after we say them. So we decided to be really careful about the words we say to each other.
We have been learning about our classroom and some of the things that happen every day. And also some of the things we can do to help us learn really well.
During week one we made time capsules. We put a sample of our handwriting, a picture of our favourite food, an outline of our hand shape and a piece of string that shows how tall we are now.
|
Cairo and Aden measure a piece of string for Tigue to put in his time capsule. |
We also began learning about how to sort and classify objects. These are pictures of our favourite toys.
|
We discovered that for most of us our favourite toy is a soft toy.
|
Three of us drew favourite toys with wheels. |
|
Four of us drew favourite toys made of hard plastic. |
|
Two of us drew favourite toys that didn't belong with any of the others so they are in a category called 'other'. |

More exciting news and learning from Room 2 soon.
